There's just one application from what I know. From there it determines whether you're eligible for the store card or the MC.
I think I'm ok with it though because I mainly plan on using it for the points anyways and paying it off every week so I can actually push more thnan $300 through it. That will more than make up for the $59 AF.

just to let you know you will never get a CLI on that card. i let it go after i got chase and amex as i didnt think it was worth $60 a year and there CS is terrible all over seas reps. yes you get bestbuy points but only to best buy. there are much more better cards out there
Not entirely true, a cli is possible but it's more in the hundreds rather than thousands. I would expect it to go from 300 to 500 after 6 months.

i had the card for almost a year never got a CLI on that card they call it a Plan B card with no CLI's possible. others can chime in who have had this card
I had it and had the same limit with the same increase. I've since closed it... Af is ridiculous.

Have a link? I didn't know they still offered that version.
@mxp114 wrote:Congrats on the card. RZMC also comes in prime flavor, a Platinum version with $5k+ line, 17.99% APR and the ability to earn Premier Silver status via non-BB purchases. Also includes all the 0% financing offers that the store card has.
The BB product is confusing, the only one I know of where you can't directly apply for the non-store card version seperately. Hopefully CapitalOne will have a clearer process. You can't directly apply for a specific version, you are approved for the best product/terms you qualify for on the one app. I did the app via BB.com and got the Platinum, and someone as recently as last month confirmed they have seen Platinum approvals. I think the guy said he works at a BB, forgot thread.
I got stuck with the Plan B 300.00 CL card and a $69.00 AF. I opened it this past October and would love to close it but I'm not sure when it's best to do it. I don't even need the card I left home with out my wallet and got talked into opening the card by my kid so she could buy a $15.00 CD. I just feed the card every few months so they don't close it on me. I just worry if closing the card will effect my score too much.

I work at best buy and we have two different applications in the store. I'm not sure how it works on the website, but we have a separate application for store card vs the mastercard. If someone applies for the store card and doesn't get approved, we have to do a new application for the mastercard.
