Re: Approved for Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard!

There's just one application from what I know. From there it determines whether you're eligible for the store card or the MC.

Most recent score: 717
Cards: USAA MasterCard ($500), USAA Amex ($500), Capital One Platinum Secured ($200), Orchard Bank Visa ($300), Amex Zync NPSL

I think I'm ok with it though because I mainly plan on using it for the points anyways and paying it off every week so I can actually push more thnan $300 through it. That will more than make up for the $59 AF.

Not entirely true, a cli is possible but it's more in the hundreds rather than thousands. I would expect it to go from 300 to 500 after 6 months.

I had it and had the same limit with the same increase. I've since closed it... Af is ridiculous.

Re: Approved for Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard!

I have had this card since October 2010 started out with I think a $500cl no annual feel, and currently it is at $1100. It has come in handy since I have used it at Best Buy for 0% for 6 months.

Have a link? I didn't know they still offered that version.

Congrats on the card. RZMC also comes in prime flavor, a Platinum version with $5k+ line, 17.99% APR and the ability to earn Premier Silver status via non-BB purchases. Also includes all the 0% financing offers that the store card has.

The BB product is confusing, the only one I know of where you can't directly apply for the non-store card version seperately. Hopefully CapitalOne will have a clearer process. You can't directly apply for a specific version, you are approved for the best product/terms you qualify for on the one app. I did the app via BB.com and got the Platinum, and someone as recently as last month confirmed they have seen Platinum approvals. I think the guy said he works at a BB, forgot thread.

Re: Approved for Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard!

I got stuck with the Plan B 300.00 CL card and a $69.00 AF. I opened it this past October and would love to close it but I'm not sure when it's best to do it. I don't even need the card I left home with out my wallet and got talked into opening the card by my kid so she could buy a $15.00 CD.  I just feed the card every few months so they don't close it on me. I just worry if closing the card will effect my score too much.

Re: Approved for Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard!

I work at best buy and we have two different applications in the store. I'm not sure how it works on the website, but we have a separate application for store card vs the mastercard. If someone applies for the store card and doesn't get approved, we have to do a new application for the mastercard.

EQ - 701 FICO - ScoreWatch (8/2016) | TU - 754 FICO - Fico 8 (8/2016) | EX - 710 Fico - Fico 8 (8/2016)
