Had to buy a vacuum for the house, so I went to the local Lowe's as I couldn't find the Electrolux at Kohl's. I bought the EL7061 model for $500. Went to pay at the register, only to find out that you can't apply for a card at the register. I had to go customer service, applied and was approved for $1200. Added a Lowe's warranty for $60. Spent $605, including the vacuum bags and went with the financing offer.
Hopefully, this vacuum is decent and lasts.
Might as well apply for the Citi card now, since I've already reduced my AAoA.
It better be a good vacuum for 500 bananas!!!!
Congrats on the approval.
I know right!
Thanks.
Thankfully I'm being reimbursed for it.
Congrats! They usually have 5% offers off of your purchases (or financing choice). This is a new thing the last few months. If you use it every so often they do give good CLIs.

Home Depot has finally started stirring from its coma and offering a 10% off deal once in a blue moon. Finally!!!
I took the financing offer because it was so expensive. The almost $40 in taxes made the whole purchase more than $600.\
I was in Home Depot a little while ago and all they had were uprights. No canister vacs.
I just did some light carpet vacuuming and I'm pretty impressed.
The EL7061 model actually sucks...
...which it's supposed to do.
You get what you pay for. And you did OK.
But feel free to do further testing at my house!

My siblings have managed to destroy Orecks, it would probably fair better at your house. It's true you get what you pay for but who wants to pay $500 for a vacuum?
My plan was to wait to apply for anything until the next week or so, when I was applying with Citi. Oh well.
If you get ten years out of that vac, it's only a buck a week for a good carpet cleaning (plus your own labor, of course). You'll probably get more than ten out of it.
That beats the heck out of a cheaper vac that doesn't do the job and then dies in three years, at just half the price.
It all depends on how you look at it. The sibling thing I can't comment on, kinda wish I had siblings who'd aggravate the h*ll out of me.
I hate to say (or proud to say, maybe) that I've still got an Electrolux that works like a charm. And it's 5 years older than you are.

You're right. I certainly hope it lasts. I believe you get what you pay for. Maybe not always, but most of the time.
I was a little weary since there was some negative reviews on certain sites. I know Electrolux bought Eureka's line of vacs and they're now under the same umbrella..
You have a vac that's five years older than me? Makes me wonder how old you are, lol.
