Just got an email about this
Is this the new revamp or just something nice?
Got this email today about the Aspire. Really like the temporary pivot for now.
12x on groceries
250 resort credit for restaurant purchases.
Good way to get some swipes too.
Just got this as well. While I won't knock it, I was hoping they would turn the airline credit into just a general travel credit.

It's still $250 in free food and a 400% increase in grocery earning. Can't complain too much.
It's just not the Aspire that got some temporary changes, AMEX changed quite a few cards to get additional credits

I have already used my Hilton $250 credit for the year and my wife and I have EDP's which earn more on grocery than the updated Hilton card. Like I said, it is a nice change, just wish I could do something with these darn airline credits
I was actually trying to work it back into my wallet next to EDP but realized the same. I can still ya the $250 dining credit though.

Yup, got it for my Surpass about an hour ago as well.
My Aspire AF hits on May 17, so I'll be able to use most of the $250 restaurant credit starting June 1.
Very nice changes - IMO, what is going on is that Amex and Hilton are aware that a lot of people are looking at that $450 AF and pondering the value right now. The changes they made are all geared toward the covid situation. Groceries and takeout/delivery. Whoever developed these changes is very smart and understands customers IMO. Promote him/her!
Although, I will probably downgrade this card anyway when the AF comes up, for individual reasons (I got the Platinum card in January, and in my mind for my spend, the benefits overlap enough that it's not worth paying both AFs in the long run).
The other changes listed in the DOC article linked above are very mild/moderate for me (Platinum: $20 statement credits, Delta: 4x miles at grocery stores when I already get 4x points at grocery stores plus now a ton of HHonors points at grocery stores), but, I'm glad they are throwing customers some bones.
