FICO Fam!
I am helping my DB build credit history. We purchased a new laptop this weekend and I want to add him as an AU on my profile so that he can receive the benefit of paying off the laptop and also reporting my credit line. I changed my profile password so that we can have joint access and now when I go to add an AU it says that I cannot at this time. Was this because of the recent purchase and password change? Also, how long should I wait before I know they will allow me to add him as an authorized user?
Thanks in advance
Maybe it is because of the password change, but that seems odd. For what it's worth, Citi (and CBNA store cards) allow authorized users to have their own login credentials. AUs have full access to everything the primary cardholder does except for requesting credit line increases, doing balance transfers, or adding other authorized users.

Oh? As a primary cardholder, I would not be comfortable with this.
