By looking at the posts here, it looks like it's the store card and not the Mastercard. Is anyone getting the luv button on the HSBC Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard?
I got one on the Mastercard a few weeks ago. Went from $300 to $600. There was a thread about this some where....

I wonder why some people get the luv button.
It would be good to know the logic behind it.

I remember the thread. That's when I logged in and saw I didn't have the luv button. So I called a CSR, They asked a few questions. Said wait 7-10 days. Got a letter that simply said they are not offering CLI's on the BB RZ MC. Not a denial for credit reasons, just not offering CLI's on this card.
Anytime I would ask for a CLI, I would call and talk to a CSR who would tell me the same thing 'We value your loyalty to us but we don't offer CLI for this card'
Now if others have the same card as me and are getting the luv button, I'm wondering why HSBC is saying they don't give out CLI for this card?
Im editing the op to be more specific, kind of forgot there are two cards. Mine was a love button success on the bbrz mc, not the store card.
So I called the number on the card again after reading the posts about it being the BB RZ MC. Got the Indian CSR, told him I wanted to cancel my card because it's just not growing. He transfers me to an account specialist. (on hold for 15 min) I tell him (sounded American with a nice country southern accent, but who knows) I'm cancelling the card becuase for 2 years I've had perfect history with this account and I was denied a CLI because they aren't offered on this card. I share with him that I know for a fact they are giving out CLI's on this card. He says he can't say why someone would be denied or approved for CLI, it depends on credit profiles. I explained I wasn't denied on the basis of credit, no hard or soft pull on any report was done, but on the basis of the card doesn't allow CLI's which I again told him I knew not to be true. He said every account is reviewed individually. I told him if the card isn't going to grow then to close it. He reminded me of the spectacluar BB rewards I can earn. I asked him if he was going to increase the limit. He said there wasn't anything he could do. I said he could close the account. There is no logic to how they operate whatsoever.
There was no fee on this card but at this point, when they say they're not giving CLI's but I see otherwise and when having a 2 year (in account specialist's words) "perfectly pristine account history", gets you no where, then it's time to close the account. I just reduced my total available credit by $500. Not a big deal as far as my UTIL goes and one less card to work into the use rotation. And it was also my LAST HSBC card. They served their purpose. Congrats to everyone who is getting the CLI's increases though!
They are definitely giving CLIs on RZMC because last month I hit the LUV button twice and got 2 increases. The first one was a soft pull and CL went from $4000 to $4750. The second was a hard pull and went to $5250. Maybe it makes a difference which card you have. I have the platinum.
I called today using the backdoor # and got 1200 bump over the 1800 I started with 18 months ago.
I have the gold BB RZ MC so maybe they dont give CLI on the gold card?
