Re: BBVA Compass?

Strange bank. Cannot pc to another card. You will need two separate logins for credit card and rewards. Different sites. Smiley Frustrated You can request cli after 6 months. But, not online. You have to call.

Ah Oh well. I like the card and after looking at the Visa Sig they offer It's a good card but I love my Citi DC for CB with a straight 2% CB. Moving away form CB atm and going after Miles and Hotel points for the moment. Got this card primarily since I am a Knicks fan and like the card lol. Same thing with the NFL card I have. I also have the MLB rewards with BoA and wanted the Yankees on it but I got declined and had to Recon the card. Somehow I got the generic MLB card.

Re: BBVA Compass?

Oh and you will have to setup online access for a third site. Compass online banking in order to sign up for their mobile app BBVA Wallet. Lmao. Crazy!

Re: BBVA Compass?

They are a strange  company but oh well I like them since they gave me a 11% APR with a Starting CL of $17,000 lol. I love the Knicks logo as well which is a lot better than what i can say of the team Smiley Tongue

My experience and sentiment exactly.

As long as the usage, pendings, and payments post normally as well as any others it's hard to grumble given their nice APR and SL.

For a Spanish bank I find it funny it doesn't have a EMV chip on it and is an Amex.

That's the thing, it's really not a Spanish bank... it's known locally as "Compass Bank", and a few years back it was bought by BBVA (Spain) and they slapped the 'BBVA' logo to the beginning of the name, but their systems aren't integrated with the BBVA in Spain (unless they just did that the last couple of years).  I believe it's still just considered a separate legal subsidiary of BBVA (Spain).

Basically the only thing 'BBVA' about them is the logo... it's still Compass Bank, for better or worse.  They've gone through some painful 'growth spurts' but they aren't 'bad', per se.  I"ve mentioned before that their bureaucracy is too big for them to have the home-town feel they once had, but too small to have large-bank efficiency, so sometimes it can be difficult if you have something 'out of the box' you need assistance with.

As long as nothing goes wrong and you don't need special attention, everything should be fine.  Smiley Wink
