BCE?

This is more of a curiosity question on my BCE card.   On my online account it shows my card as a  BCE (sm).  What does the "(sm) stand for?

FICO 08
TU 842 12/8/18
EX 840 12/29/18
EQ 842 12/8/18
(NASA 30K) ( Amex 44k ) ( Freedom 10.6K ) ( US Bank Cash+ 20k, LOC 15k ) Winners never quit, and quitters never win

Re: BCE?

service mark

It's like a tradmark except it's used for a service not a product. Don't ask me why a BCE is a service, not a product, but that's what it is.

LOL! Glad to help. I've laid awake at 2:00 a.m. thinking about even less important questions sometimes.

Credit cards are recognized as services for trademark standards becuase they help you buy products, you get customer service, extended warranties etc. In other words a service

If I saw that on any of my cards I'd just assume it meant "small" limit.  Smiley Sad
