BOA 3,2,1 remove annual fee?

Hello everyone. So my BOA 3,2,1, recently graduated and I got a CLI. When I opened my account they told me that when it graduated after a year that the annual feel would also be removed. Well it graduated early, it would be a year this coming Feb 2017. I recently got a letter saying that it graduated and that I got a CLI and my deposit would be returned to me in the form of a check but that everything else would stay the same, apr, annual fee, ect. But like I said, when I opened it they told me that when it graduated that I would no longer have the annual fee. So now who do I talk to about this? Do I call the number on the letter? Or do I call one of the back door numbers listed here http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Applications/Backdoor-Numbers/m-p/408066 but which one?

Thanks,

You may need to call them several times until you find someone that will remove the AF.

Try credit analyst and Sr credit analyst. Good luck.

I did it with chat. After my AF hit. Mine graduated early too but still got AF after 1 year. Asked on chat ,couple minutes of waiting and they said ok. Got the AF refunded too.

I always get an answer with "fee is tied with the account" excuse.....I will be closing it next July if i can not get it to remove it.

On a side note, just got a 1K auto CLI.....

Re: BOA 3,2,1 remove annual fee?

Thanks everyone! Just got on the puter and logged in to my account and couldn't find chat anywhere. Weird. I will try calling and if no luck then I will just go down on Sat to talk to someone in person.

Re: BOA 3,2,1 remove annual fee?

I have to add that I went to the branch and 2 of the credit specialists said that it is impossible to get rid of the AF. Only with new apps because a secured card always stays secured in the system even after getting the deposit back.
My card is at $4400 CL with no AF any more.

Chat is hidden and not avalible at all times. Sometimes it is not shown at all.

Re: BOA 3,2,1 remove annual fee?

This may not be relevant (upgraded from secured in 2011/2012 and had the AF removed) but I think if you are persistent and maybe mention that the annual fee has been making you contemplate about closing the account, they may act differently? Would removing the AF at that point be sort of like a retention offer?

Sorry, it wasn't this difficult to remove the AF when I upgraded (first call and they said they reversed it but then had to call again when it was charged and dispute the AF referring to the previous call).

Good luck!!

Re: BOA 3,2,1 remove annual fee?

If you cannot get an analyst to remove it, go on FB and message them. Let them how disappointed you are being told one thing, putting your deposit down and now the card has graduated the annual fee is still there. The reps that are on FB actually have more pull than an analyst. They work for the executive office and have executive approval to make decisions! Good luck!
