If you do the BT, you would have to effectively sock drawer the card until its PIF since you would draw interest on any purhcase you mkake, even if you pay the purchase amount.  Until the law changes.

You can do a BT to pay off install loans. They simply mail a paper check, or DD the money in your bank account to pay off the loan.
