BOfA CR $39 fee now?

I just got an email from BOfA letting me know they are now charging an $39.00 annual fee for the card. They listed a bunch of great perks for changing it but I'm not sure there worth it. Had the card for 3 years now and never had a fee before.

Ask them to waive it.

What is your credit profile like?  Do you need this card?  If you don't need it and they won't waive it, cancel the card.

Re: BOfA CR $39 fee now?

What card is it?  A while back BofA experimented with adding fees to some of its checking accounts in target markets.  IIRC, they backed off of that idea.  Maybe they are doing something similar with their credit cards.

It's worth a shot to call them up and see if they will wave the fee

Its the cash rewards card, I called and they waived the fee she was not even sure why I was charged.

I spend WAY to much time worried over my credit cards and scores I think I need a break.
