Is Popular Bank credit line increase online is a soft pull or a hard pull? 

I have a student credit card with them with a $300 credit line, but i don't what another hard inq. on my transunion report

Did you try the "Increase Credit Line" link in their Credit cards page? That should tell you whether they'll pull HP or SP..

You may also want to call them and check if the agents know anything about this.

Got approved for a $300 CLI with a Hard Pull

All Credit Line Increases are hard pull !!!!
