Does it make sense is ultimately up to you to decide but I will add the possibility of product change with BofA while carrying over account history and age.

If you want 0% for 15 months, you might as well get $200 and a bonus category card.
Now that would be great for 3% categories. One for online purchases, and another for a different category, etc.
But keeping the AmeriCard after the promo may not make much sense, since it isn't a rewards card, unless its residual APR is more attractive than the Cash Rewards card. It could be used for BT and to carry at lower general rates after a promo.
Random question... are there different variations of the Bank Americard? I have one that was previously offered from the PSU Alumni Association, and it says Bank Americard on it. It also has the 1-2-3% rewards structure. Is this just a special one? I've had it since ~2014..... maybe all the rewards cards back then were the Americard?
I see the card in your signature also has "Cash Rewards" on it, but "BankAmericard" generally refers to a different product...one with an intro 0% period and a very slightly lower APR range, but no rewards.
A search for "Bank of America alumni" shows cards for UMich, Indiana University, UC Berkeley, and NYU on the first page. There are perhaps several other school and organizations with affinity cards.
The current iteration of the BoA BankAmericard is their no-rewards lower APR card and was the replacement for the Better Balance Rewards card which was closed to new applicants about 2.5 years ago. It's mostly useful as a 15 month 0% APR card for balance transfers.
The term is kind of funny because BoA owns the trademark but also has licensed it to be used to generically describe Visa CCs, so one has to be aware of the context when seeing the phrase.
I have the 3% (5.25% actual) categories on my 3 cards set to online shopping, gas, and home improvement purchases. You can change a card's category once per calendar month.
BTW the SUB is posted as a redemption so you have multiple options to collect or use it. I opted to have mine swept to my checking account. .
