Bank of America Product Change!

So last week got my Secured card graduated and today called in for product change.

Was hoping for Accelerated American Express... not so much an option

So had to take the World Points but my annual fee went away!

and to get lower interest rate, must apply for new card??! currently 14.2%

Can you please tell me which number you called? and how did you go about getting you AF waived. Reason, i graduated last month and i just got hit with annual fee and i called in today to one of the backdoor numbers and she said she cannot waive AF on this card also, i cannot subscribe to world points, i cannot do a product change, my only option is to apply for a new card.

So, i'm disappointed because i read everyone was able to get AF waived and subscribed to world points. Any help will be appreciated.

I called the back door number listed above for "product changes".

I just happened to think of the AF last minute and asked if it would now be dropped with World Points and she told me yes.

Thanks!, was your card changed from Visa to MasterCard? Also did you get any extra hard inquiry?

no inq.

she stated it MAY change from Visa to Mastercard but didn't tell me if it did or why. don't really care.

Can you repost the number? I dont see it... I opened my card August of last year, so I'm thinking it should be due to be unsecured anytime now. Did you proactively call them to get this done?

no you call the secured card back door number to get unsecured. then once it updates in the system then you call for product change
