Re: Barclay Apple Success

Thank you for the explanation.  I do want this forum to be positive for all its members and will be sure to be more mindful about what I type and how it may be interpreted in the future!  Smiley Happy

...and about Barclay...stay with it. If you call their backdoor number and give them your credit resume - then explain specifically what you intend to purchase with your new credit - I can't believe they wouldn't give you a higher limit. May take a couple of calls, but the zero interest for 12 months will be worth it!

In my wallet: Apple $5,000, local CU $15,000, Bread AMEX $5,000. In my sock drawer: A few other cards Smiley Happy

Current scores (EQ, EX, TU): 787, 788, 796

Re: Barclay Apple Success

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who shared his or her success stories on this board. I was needing to buy a new MacBook very soon and the Apple iTunes Visa was looking very tempting with is 12 months 0% financing. My score was sitting around 675 (TU), I had a late from two years ago, student loan, 4 inq's and one collection that has been paid for over a year. I have a CapOne at $500, HSBC at $320 and a Banana at $300, with my utilization under 15% through the month and I never carry a balance. I figured what the hay, I’m going to apply. I was instantly denied :-(, but after looking at this thread I decided to recon and call the backdoor number. I spoke with a CSR and he asked me around 6 questions, when he came back he told me that he reversed the denial and I was approved for 2k (I told him I needed 3K). At this moment this is my highest limit, because my credit is in a rebuilding phase, so I am :-).

Starting Score: EX 514, EQ 555, TU 602
Current Score: EX 575 (Lender Pull), EQ 608 (FICO), TU 660 (FICO)

Re: Barclay Apple Success

I called and approved for $1250...I was hoping it would

be more so i couldn't make the instant purchase...I do need a Mac . Guess I will have to add some additional funds

to make the purchase when the card arrives.

Has anyone been denied this card on this forum ?

Anyway..Thankyou Barclay Visa and Apple ...YOU ROCK !
