Correct...no hp.
Congrats ! This is the second thread to my knowledge in the past week or two of someone PC'ing their Apple Financing to their rewards card... Might have to pull the trigger with my own Apple card, .

Thanks! The reason I inquired to Barclay about the PC is because I started seeing the benefits of how my cash rewards balance has been increasing (started earning them in Dec) on a few of my CC's. So I got excited and now all I want are cash rewards with the highest percentage back. I just happened to be logging into my Apple Financing account and noticed that Barclays has a rewards card and....ding dong...light bulb flashing!
So on a whim I just decided to call and see if it was possible for a PC and they were more than happy to do so. Now of course they tried to warn me that I would lose the benefits of buying an Apple product with special financing, but I already have a macbook pro, iPad and an iMac so I'm not buying anything else like that for years to come. Buying Apple products is just as expensive as sending your kid to college. So the decision turned into a no brainer for me to PC.
tell them that you are going to close the account they will transfer you to a closing speacialist as they say and they will give you the option to PC

Okay I should add that when I initially called in, the person that answered the phone took a minute to look at my account. She said "let me check to see if you are eligible for that". A few minutes later she said okay, let me transfer you to another department who can help you with that. The exact name of the department had the name of "specialist' in it but I can't remember exactly what it is. As soon as the guy answered he said, "hi I'm John Doe and I'll will be assisting you with the transfer of Apple Visa to the Barclay's reward MC".
So maybe some Apple accounts are eligible and some aren't? Or maybe even I was lucky enough to get a csr that knew that this is possible? But literally I was on the phone no more than about 10 minutes to do this. So I would aslo advise to keep calling in until you get someone who can help you.
The "non" PC thing, was that a case specifically with the Apple cards, or all Barclay cards?
I wish this was the norm and not the exception. I tried to PC my Apple to the NFL card and it was a no go.
Well I wonder what the criteria is for those that can PC? Maybe it's that you can only PC from Apple to a specific product or maybe it has something to do with the timing of when you opened your card. I don't know, just throwing things out there. But this appears to be a YMMV situation with the PC.
BTW, when I logged on this morning to Barclays I did get a message asking me to activate my card by entering the last 4 of my SS# and the CID on the new card. Of course I don't have it yet. I also seen the addition of the rewards tab so it definitely went through.
