@masscredit wrote:I received one of their "pre-selected" apps today. I already have the Barclay's Apple card and have a collection that I'm pretty happy with. The rewards from this card would be better than what I get from my Cap 1 card. I'm just wondering what I'd get for a limit. My Apple store care has a $5500. CL. Hoping to see that go up a little in the next few months. I think it would be worth it if I get approved for $3-$5000+. There is a note on the app that says after five consecutive on-time payments, the account will be reviewed for a CLI.
I might go for it. Just want to pay down one of my cards to regain the 12 points that I just from a higher balance than I had a couple of months ago.
Seeing as yu alreatd have a Barclays with a good limit, I think you get approved.
I just wish their APR was lower. 22.99% is on the high side. My best APR cards are the Cap 1s. One is 14.9% and the other is 19.9. The 19.9% card is a rewards card.
I went on vacation for a week and when I came back I had two seperate offers for this card. Both are the same as the last one saying that I've been pre-selected for the exclusive cash back rewards program with no annual fee. The reply dates keep getting pushed further out. Newest one has a date in mid-May. I guess they really want me!
A little temped to bite. I wonder if I could call and have them give me an idea what kind of CL I would receive if I take them up on their offer. It would be worth it to me if the CLi is in the $5000.+ range. Not really worth it for less than $2500.
Does anyone know if there's a way to find out what places count for groceries/gas/utilities 2x points? For instance, someone said CVS does...but I never would have considered that and would have normally used my Quicksilver in that situation.

Use the Visa/MC merchant code lookup. It'll tell you what codes merchants uses for transactions. I know target/walmsts use grocery codes (if the store has grocery)

I've had my barclays nfl card since sept. I started with 500, then 5 months later my CL is now 2000. I also got a 10,000 points and I have 150.00 now saved.

While that is a useful link, it doesn't solve your CVS question (which is coded as a drugstore- 5912). The Rewards card seems to be giving 2% in some extra categories. By something small and see how Barclays gives you rewards (which appear very quickly)

I think if its coded as a drugstore, its not a grocery store, so no bonus % at CVS
