Hello all. This is my first time posting, but I have been lurking for quite a while. Thank you to everyone for providing such wonderful information and advice on these boards. I have a question and was looking for some advice. I have been rebuilding and things are getting better. I recently got approved for the QS1 with a $2000 CL, which is definitely my highest limit. I was wanting to go try for Barclay. I know they will grow with me when I go sit in the garden until November. I checked did the preapproval thing on their site and got the Congrats message (I know - it could go either way). My QS1 finally (after almost two months) showed up on my EQ, so I am expecting it to probably show on TU next week. My questions is, should I app for the Barclay now, or should I wait until the QS1 (and my highest approval limit) to show on my TU before I apply for Barclay? My TU FICO was 678 per my last Walmart statement. Thanks in advance for any input.
Which Barclay card are you looking at?
Just the average credit credit card. When I did the preapproval link I got the Congrats for a "Barclaycard Rewards Aspiring Prime."

I would app for sure, looks like it'll be no problem. I got my Barclay rewards card with a 630 ish FICO.

Do you think there would be any benefit in the QS1 reporting first? Aside from that card w/ $2000 CL, my next highest limits are Cap 1 w/ $750 and Amazon store card with $1200 and Walmart w/ $900. Would it help in anyway for that new higher limit to be seen?

To be honest I don't think Barclay bases the limit they give you on anybody else. They actually gave me my highest card limit last year when I app'd, and now they are my first card to reach 5k. I'd app now and not worry about the other accounts or limits. I have a feeling they will give you a nice starting CL.

Good luck, I think you'll be happy!!
I don't think you will have a problem. I just got my Barclay Rewards Mastercard with a myFICO score of 622 and Barclay score of 611 this month with a $1,800 limit (I have no clue how, still trying to figure it out) but I would say it's worth a shot.. Good luck!!
***Sigh*** Under further review....... Man, what a bummer.....
