Just wanted to share...

Just got off the phone with Barclaycard (called the # on the back of my card), where I was transferred to a retention specialist when I mentioned I wanted an APR reduction.

Have had the card six months, have started putting a lot of spend through it, and got a 1% reduction (to a still appalling 23.99%) and then asked for a soft pull CLI... got bumped from $5000 -> $6500).

The guy was actually very friendly and apologized for not being able to do more on both fronts.

Oh... and my statement cuts tomorrow, so that's a positive.

Just did the same. Dropped my APR to 9.99%, gave me 0% until June, and a decent CLI. Pretty successful 5 minutes.
