It is hard to say why you received the message, but it could be something as simple as a security question that was inputted incorrectly. If not, have your husband determine why there was a denial and ask for reconsideration. When doing so, you may ask to speak with an underwriter. Try to explain any reasons for denial. Where did you obtain your credit scores from? I believe you listed scores in the mid 700 range. With those said scores, I can not imagine why you were not approved for any Barclay card.
