Yes. The only way to get one outside of their area is through a pre-approved mail offer.

Thanks...I just opened a checking account with them 2 weeks ago, so hopefully they'll start sending offers after I build a relationship with them

The credit card prequal link only works for TX and AL for some reason. BBVA’s market spans AZ, CA, CO, FL, and NM too. You can request a call back on the website if you’re in one of those states to talk about their cards.

Let us know your banking experience with them. Some of us have cards but no other accounts.
I have checking and savings with Discover and they're great if you don't mind holds on most deposits.

Wow. For years I've been getting mail offers for BBVA (there is a branch about 20 mins from my house) and I never thought they were anything but prequals from a local folksy-type mom and pop bank that was likely just offering cards in order to pump up business! LMAO!

Are they a good bankcard? Like, I've seen a few complaints on the boards because they aren't always 'easy to deal with'. Thus, my potential misconception. 😅
But that could just be those "go FICO yourself" snide comments that others tend to throw along with some shade.

Is it worth trying to prequal on their site if I already have an offer? Cuz, ... yall got me thinkin', dammit.

Banking is like any other bank nothing special. The dispute process is BS and they tend to side with the merchant on any dispute, they also seem to have a small dispute team. Been banking since 2015, I just use it now as a hold my small funds account with them, I was going to apply for a business credit card, was told by a business banker that my company would have to make $100k a year to get a $10k business credit card, I passed and opened up a Wells Fargo account.
