Re: Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard

OMG! Ridiculous! I just got approved for 1,000. Why do I even need Capital one and BofA now? I wish I had found this before I got that dumb secured card. Grrrr. Oh well. WOOHOOOO!!!

Re: Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard

After being involved in this thread I am starting to highly doubt HSBC declines anyone for this card (RZMC).  Read back further.  They might start you out a a very low CL but probably not an outright denial.  I think HSBC likes to offer "microloans" instead of denial.  Smiley Happy

Maybe they are trying to win the Nobel Prize for Credit Cards! LOLSmiley Happy

Re: Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard

I am ridiculously ecstatic over this card, and it will become my primary. I just wish I hadn't gotten that secured card, or the cap one for that matter. Oh well. It all happens for a reason right?

Re: Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard

IMHO I would keep those old cards for what they are designed for- small purchases every month that you PIF.  That way you will build positive payment histories on multiple accounts.  I have read some users close down these but I would definitely keep building your payment history for at least like a year.  Then if the AF really are getting under your skin close them.  I could see keeping them open and active for 2 years actually.  Just my humble opinion...Smiley Indifferent

Re: Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard

That is actually very good advice, and one that I will follow! Its just that the Cap One card is so annoying to use right now. I pay it off weekly, seriously, and usually 300+ weekly, so it'll be nice to not have to do that anymore. The only thing that concerns me is that Cap One sees I'm not using it as mich and reduces my limit, but that may just be my excuse to close it later in the future. Thanks for all ur advice!!!

Re: Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard

Intersting, I used to do the pre approval for HSBC and it would offer the platinum card, now I do it and it offers a secured card.
