I didn't get a chance to save the chat transcript, but I just spoke with an agent named Ross, and he gave me some specifics. He said the systemic upgrade will take place on 6/17/16 and the new Visa would be mailed after that date. He mentioned I could continue using my store card until I activate my new Visa.
It sounds like the information is slowly trickling out from upper management, as with each chat we find out a little bit more information.

From what I've seen from other conversions...it's likely going to be a new TL and no history moving with it...Since it's a total PC the account number is going to change...I can't find the paperwork that came but I think it's mentioned in there.

The wording I got seems to indicate it'll replace the store card TL keeping the original open date:

So according to Danny on chat, I'm getting this upgrade, but haven't gotten anything in the mail or emails about this happening. We shall wait and see right.
Well just called into to see about this upgrade, and I guess the chat representative was wrong, I'm not being automatically upgraded, and they can't put in an upgrade for me either.
I guess it's time for me to write a letter to the executive response team and complain about being told I'm being upgraded, and then being told I'm not getting the upgrade.

Exact same thing happened to me. Plain and simple... i'm holding on to the card until the end of july or mid august... if i havent received a Visa in the mail... i'm closing the account and shredding the card.
I called customer service and I was told that I wouldnt be getting a Visa card because I already have a Best Buy Visa along with the store card. I am planning to close the store card anyways. Dont need both.
