Re: Best Credit Union?

Best is relative...

Rewards wise, PenFed has a card that gives 5% on gas and 1.25%on everything else...

PSECU, Alliant, SDFCU, NFCU are all great credit unions.

Fort Knox FCU is supposed to have a pretty good card also.

I wouldn't say it is best, but, to me it is better than NFCU nRewards VISA and cashRewards VISA.

First Tech FCU  Addison Ave FCU)

Platinum Rewards VISA cash Rewards

  • Earns 1% on every purchase
  • Deposit earned rewards $s to the saving acct automatically monthly.  So you don't have to request for cash back.
  • ZERO Foreign Transaction Fees ... if you travel to outside the country, this is very nice benefit.
  • Discount on HP product when you buy online.

Except it has an annual fee of $25 and 1% FTF. Check First Tech website.

Mine does not have AF since I had it through Addison Ave FCU.   They just transferred the info.  So, other than the bank name everything are the same.

Re: Best Credit Union?

The big 3 are Navy, Penfed, and Psecu.

Next on the list are Alliant, Lake Michigan, Fort Knox, and Partners.

Usaa is a bank that acts like a credit union.

There is no fee for secured cards or platinum, the annual fee only applies to the rewards card.   There is a 1% FTF (VIsa takes that).for all the cards.

Re: Best Credit Union?

Problem is, Addison Ave merged with First Tech FCU and no longer offers what bunnyrabbit has to new cardmember.

Alternative,

NGFCU

Stafnord CU
