Re: Best Everyday Cashback

I was going to suggest the BoA Cash rewards for 3% online category.

Re: Best Everyday Cashback

I think the Citi DC is the best card for straight 2% back, no categories, cash back limits etc, but you already have that card.

If you're with Verizon wireless and can deal with Synchrony, the Verizon Visa actually isn't too bad and has $0 AF.

4% gas and grocery

3% dining

2% back + $10 off your Verizon bill.

I paid all of our gas, groceries, dining out and our verizon bill on the card and my last statement we had earned $69 in "verizon dollars" to use towards verizon bill.  I know that it's not true cash back, but it was $69 less that I had to spend on my cell phone bill which is as good as cash back in my pocket.

Re: Best Everyday Cashback

But again, for a straight AOD alternative, USAlliance is the obvious choice!

Re: Best Everyday Cashback

If the usalliance points are redeemed as cashback does $3=$3 or are they redeemed as a lesser amount?  How hard is it to get approved for US Alliance?

Re: Best Everyday Cashback

How much online spend are you looking at? How much overall spend?

Is a significant share of spend already on the Target REDcard?

Reason to ask is, what marginal cash back is being pursued?

High Bal Jan 2009 $116k on $146k limits 80% Util.
Oct 2014 $46k on $127k 36% util EQ 722 TU 727 EX 727

It is a true 3%, for cashback 1 point = 1c.

Im confused . You turned away the AOD card because you didnt get 5k sl? I may be slow but im pretty sure you would still get 3% on a 2k cl same as a 5k cl or am i missing something?. Many people couldnt even get approved , you still could have eventually got a cli. Most important is getting approved firstSmiley Wink

You only get the 3% back on the siggy, for which you have to have a $5k+ SL.

Oh wow, thanks must have missed it. Silly me i would still have grabbed it lol, not to waste the hpSmiley Wink

I never would have received the CLI b/c I wouldn't put enough spend through it at 1% cashback (non-Signature has paltry rewards), so I didn't get it. I may reapply in a year when my AAoA is higher.

They even approved me for the lowest APR (it had to be raised when they decided to only approve $2k

i feel ya but that low of apr card is hard to findSmiley Wink
