Purely cash back on all purchases no miles or points just looking for cash back any ideas
If you can get approved, the Visa Signature from AOD gives 3% back on everything.

I would imagine this is going to be the number one response to the OPs question, as AOD is no doubt the ongoing FOTM card until something changes.
Thanks will look into it i have a penfed and navy fcu account also max i can find is 1.5%
Also apr is not and issue as i pay the entire balance every month
There are quite a few threads on the forum where 2%+ CB cards are discussed. Citi DC and Paypal MC are probably 2 of the most common that would be "better" than the 1.5% you mentioned.

That's a good thing, as paying interest on a CB card completely eats away those rewards quickly.
Funny, I was just discussing "end game" cards in my other thread. Here's some additional info to add to this conversation:

Personally, I use the PayPal Cashback Mastercard and love it for the 2%, no FTF, simplicity, and ease of acquiring.
The AOD FCU Visa Signature at 3% is the best at this moment in time, but it would take an effort to join their CU and there's no telling how long those rewards would last.
I haven't been following the SoFi 2% card thread, but looks like that has semi-nerfed to 2% only if redeemed to SoFi? (Fidelity was and/or is similar for smaller redemption amounts)

Don't forget that Penfed requires you to meet a qualifying condition (active/ex-military or have a checking account) to get 2% CB and there are mininum requirements on the checking account ($500 daily average or $500/month DD) to itself be fee-free.
