I was counter-offered the 99/500 with an EX FICO of 664, an avg. age of 3 yrs, 2 CAs (DOFD of 2004 and 2000), 2 COs (DOFD 2000, 2006), a repo from 2005, and 2 CC lates from 2002. I appd for a reg. card and was declined at 664. At the counter-offer, my score dropped to 644 when they accepted my $99 payment.
DW got approved for the Amex-branded card with EX in the low 600s (615 I think). She also had 3 COs, 1 CA, and 1 repo.
