BoA accelerated cash rewards AmEx

Has this card been discontinued? I'd been considering a PC from the regular accelerated AmEx, but I don't see it on their website anymore.

Re: BoA accelerated cash rewards AmEx

It has been discontinued -- Although -- as of a few weeks ago it was still available to apply for by going into a branch. I did a PC from the points version to the cash version and just got the card. It took three tries to get it -- I started in August, ended up with the 321 Visa - that got converted back to the Accelerated points Amex - I went into the branch and finally got the cash version.

1.25 World Points per $1 of spend; redeemable for cash on 1:1 basis. Thus, equivalent to 1.25% cash back. The catch is that in order to get the favorable 1:1 exchange rate, you need to save up 25,000 worldpoints. If you try to redeem any lesser number of World Points, you will earn less than $0.01 per WorldPoint. The table below illustrates.

I think the 123 Visa Signature is better. $1500 cap on 2% and 3% each quater but you always get 1% cash back no cap plus 10% bonus if you redeem to a checking account.

Re: BoA accelerated cash rewards AmEx

I almost kept the 123 visa - however I have 2 cards that give 4% on gas, 2% dining, grocery etc etc. So the 123 card just duplicated (and less so) cards I already had. I mainly wanted the accelerated cash Amex specifically for Costco purchases -- squeeze out that extra 1/4%... I was unhappy with the redemption of the world points version.
