Where do you request the CLI?
Can anyone who received a CLI confirm whether the request triggered a new SP? I've only seen one DP so far saying it was. Asking because my score has improved by 23 points since their last score update and wondering if I should wait.

Cash Rewards: $14,000, requested $1,000 approved new limit $15,000
Better Balance Rewards: $5,000 requested $5,000 approved new limit $10,000
Data points:
818 FICO (monthly TU score provided by both BofA and Discover); AAoA 12.5 years; no baddies; last CLI on Cash Rewards was 2007; BBR itself was opened with credit reallocation in 2009 from the Visa and never received an increase until now.
Some of you might wonder why I only requested a comibed total of only $6K; well I have way too much available credit as it is. I am planning on closing a few accounts here soon. I wanted the CR to have an "even" ($5K incriments LOL) credit line and I wanted the BBR to be at $10K.
Just checked TU...no HP (yet). Instead, under the "Account Review" section (SP) there was one from today 21 May 2018.
Way to go Dad
Looks like restraint was the order of the day and you picked up the tab
. But seriously great job and enjoy![]()

TU 724.
Ive had this acct for almost a year.
Last HP was in 10/17.
No baddies.
Et tu Brute?
Sweet increase MB, should buy us lots of Pringles, beer, Hamburgers, bread, Coke, Pepsi, and everything else we order in the garden![]()

We went through the usual taking income and housing information and she submitted and said “ looks like your credit report is frozen”( as I knew this already). So not sure what to make of this as all indications point to a soft pull. I have already used more HP’s on boa than I care to remember. Just wanted to share this data point.

Congrats on the CLIs! What TU service do you use that you can see SPs? I just use their free TrueIdentity service and it doesn't show SPs. And BoA pulls TU for you in CO? I'm in AZ and they always pull EX for me - I have a bunch of BoA HPs to prove it.
Thank you! I actually requested my report from TU directly to see that SP account review (in addition to getting a free credit report via federal mandate from annualcreditreport.com, residents of CO receive two free per year so it cost me nothing). There were two columns for BofA account reviews; one only had today's date and the other column (maybe column isnt the right description...more of a grouping) had a date for each month for the past 2 years and none of those dates were close to the 21st of each month. More of an assumption on my part than anything, but very coincidental that todays date showed up in a different "grouping" on the account review section. But I am convinced that these were SP ![]()
Edited to add: (todays SP CLI vs. normal, monthly account reviews)

If you call Credit Solutions for a Synchrony card they can't do a SP if there's a freeze, so it's possible the same is happening here.
I concede that I don't seen the logic in this since a lender should have no problems doing a SP for an existing customer (and they often do for ARs) yet for customer-initiated requests for some reason it's an issue.

Your answer is in Post #218. Good luck should you request a CLI!
