BofA CLI

it seems like BofA changed the way they process the CLI requests. Today I applied for CLI on my online banking and they just approved me without asking to call them. In the past they were always asking me to call them and talk with a credit analyst.

My CL was 2k and I request 7k, they gave me 4.4k.

I will check that tomorrow, but it should be a soft.

Congrats on the CLI !

I and probably everyone else on this forum will be interested in hearing whether it is or not, AFAIK BOFA (and Chase for any customer-initiated request) have pretty much been a HP all the time, short of Executive Office intervension in Chase's case from what people have posted on the forum here in the past.

Re: BofA CLI

I just hit the CLI button and got the 7-10 day message. I talked with CS and she told me my account was not old enough to do a CLI  but the pull (she thought) was a soft . The card is over a year old for heavens sake how much history do they want.: I ran though $7000 with them alone last year and they want MORE history?.catmad:

Re: BofA CLI

The previous time I got a CLI from BofA on my other CC they did a soft pull, and it was from 1k to 5k.I did that on January 2012 and I had to call them an talk with a credit analyst.

And FYI I am in Florida.

Re: BofA CLI

I requested a CLI from BoA in Feb, 2011 and I received a message asking me to call a BoA credit analyst. I didn't bother doing so but I found out the next day that I was granted the requested CLI.

So, was it ever really necessary to contact BoA?

Wierd, I would've sworn I read that pretty much everything with BOFA was a HP but I'm hugely interested to know otherwise.

When my BOFA card (secured) ticked over six months, a Request a CLI link popped up which I'm almost positive wasn't there before... but I figured they'd simply laugh if I clicked on it so I didn't even bother.

In the past it was always like that, they were asking to call. But this time it was an instant decision. I guess they upgraded to automatic system.
