@Anonymous wrote:I am curious how much of a scoring increase you think you will get. How much did your scores drop when your utilization went up?
I have absolutely no idea. I've never decreased my uti by this much.. It was only until recently did I think of decreasing my uti to less than 10%..
I never checked my cs before, so I wouldnt know how much it was before the uti started.
When I do the score ranges it says my score should be between 655-702. lol not much help, so we will find out..
Gotcha. I just hate to see anyone get hopes up or have expectations of that big of a jump in scores. I definitely wouldn't go by the score simulator. You will gain points but I would be shocked if it is anything like the numbers you posted.
The simulator shows up to 70 points max for lowering utilization (if your sig line is current). The only time I have seen that kind of jump is when the only or last collection /baddie comes off the report.
Good luck!!
I had a chat conversation about this a while ago with Cap1. Here's how it went...
You10:24 AM
and my last 2 questions... when does capital one report balance to the credit bureaus? and when does my statement cut?
Andres10:24 AM
We generally report 2-3 days after the statement closes, and the information reported should be the same that is on your statement. Note we do not control when the bureaus update their records, but we'd expect it to be within a week or so; your credit report will indicate the date we provided the updated information.
You10:25 AM
Understood. And when does the statement close?
Andres10:26 AM
You first statement will be generated on 08/15/2016 and you will have the due date on 09/12/2016.
You10:26 AM
Awesome. Thank you for all the info! I'll give the specialist a call to change the name on the card at a later time!
Andres10:26 AM
The 08/15/2016 statement will close on 09/15/2016.

Very helpful. Especially about when the CBs post the update up.
Thanks for the info.
I just chatted with Capital One to see if I'd receive the same answer.. Confirmation that per Capital One, they report 2-3 days after the statement closed date, and the statement closed date is the last date of the statement cycle. In my case, my statement cycle was 07/07 to 08/06 with a due date of 08/03 which means that my "close date" is 08/06 and should be reported by today 08/09. It hasn't shown up yet, but should soon.

I've experienced a 33 point jump going from around 70% util to less than 7% util.
