Looking to add a CITI card to my portfolio, and trying to determine which is considered best "Bang for Buck" card at this time. I currently have cash back and a travel rewards card, but looking for input and suggestions. This will be my last before burying myself in the garden. Also will likely request a product change from NAVY and request the Flagship along with a CLI. Thanks, suggestions are appreciated.
The AA advantage has a 50k sign up bonus. Also, if you apply for the Citi Prestige in branch, the offer still stands at 60k TYP sign up bonus and a lower annual fee @ 350.
You could go with the Citi DoubleCash (2% cash back off everything so long as you PIF). Great for non-category spending.
Or if you want to take advantage of a travel rewards bonus miles offer, the Citi AA Advatage is nice.
Thanks Mikelo22.... I believe I will go with the AA Card.
If you travel, even only a few times a year, I would suggest getting the Citi Prestige card. One flight($250 airline credit) and/or a 4 night hotel stay (fourth night free) will easily offset the AF and it is an awesome card. I think any traveler should have either the AMEX Platinum, Citi Prestige, or both. The Citi AAdvantage line-up is also a no-brainer if you live near a AA friendly hub. 50K AAdvantage miles is nice, but beyond the 50K miles and the group 1 boarding (very nice if you're a coach flyer) the card is not very valuable for spending rewards. Oh also a free checked bag.
rembrandt.. Thanks...now taking a closer look at that Card... i live in the DFW area and fly American....so it's looking pretty interesting.
Can someone explain the garden, i have seen it on this forum a lot.
Decided to go with the Citi Prestige Card since most of the AA Card benefits I allready receive. Started me with $22,000.00 Should I wait until card receipt to request CLI or call now, and if so, what's the number? Thanks everyone for your tips and advice.
