I wold call my bank and find out what type of info they would be willing to give out. Maybe they want to check on your banking relationship if they have nothing on you in chexsystems. What card was this by the way? I wouldn't want my bank to be giving out my average balance or anything else I consider personal info. Maybe they just want to verify that you actually have an account.
