The bank employee didn't explain that it had an annual fee? I would file a complaint if not. 


There are disclosures that are typically provided on screen which explain the T&C for each product.  The OP's family member didn't have to accept the CC if something was unclear or just didn't want another CC, especially if there was an AF involved.

@FinStarTalked it over with him and it was HIS choice. AF would have charged on 12/01. He is completely aware of the risks. He consolidated the CSP into his fredom and upgraded his freedom to a freedom unlimited. Rep we spoke to said it was ok and no issue. Now if any adverse actions will happen I dont know.
