CSP and hotel

Beginner question on CSP!   So before I have any UR points credited, I needed to book a hotel.  I originally went straight to the UR travel section and booked there.

THen I changed my mind and went to Hotels.com FROM the UR link.  The hotel was the same price in both places, but which gives the bigger bonus?  Hotels.com was 3points per $ bonus.  Is that a total of 4 points per $, versus 3 points per $ for booking travel directly from UR?

Thanks

Re: CSP and hotel

i think it would not matter you would be getting the same rewards booing from either site you get the 2 points you normally would get for travel and the bonus

Re: CSP and hotel

I haven't used hotels.com through the UR mall, but the UR mall bonuses typically stack.  For example, booking airfare gets you 2x points for travel and going through travelocity on the UR mall will get you an additional 2x points, for a total of 4x.  I'm guessing that hotels.com works similarly.

Re: CSP and hotel

Hotels.com will be the better option here. 3x through the Chase mall is essentially the normal 2x for travel plus an extra point per dollar. Hotels.com will offer the same 2x for travel (since its a basic feature of the CSP) plus an additional 3x from the UR mall, giving you 5x in total. Just be aware that if you book through a third party site like hotels.com, Expedia, etc. you'll likely be giving up any elite benefits that you're normally entitled to including stay credits.
