Means nothing yet... could of been or still to be announced today or in the future or not at all.. I still see a buff personally coming when it is; is anyones guess as the CFF buff was to much not to do something to the CSR imho.
@CreditCuriosity I agree...even if not today, I think Chase has to address the Sapphire product now that the Flex exist. If they choose not to then I believe that they can queue the music as there will be a choir singing and flower bringing for the death of the CSR/CSP. It'll be an EXTREMELY hard sell for someone to pick either of the 2 over the Flex...at least for now.
I called Chase this morning to dispute a charge (For the CF they me 1% instead of 5% on whole foods a week ago) and talked to the CSR about the Chase Sapphire Preferred.
The CSR told me the current gas/instacart promotions are valid through 12/31 but nothing else is new is coming online. Instacart is currently running a promtion for $10 off $35 with Wal-Mart delivery so might be worth trying.
Its worth noting that I tried to use Samsung Pay over at Wal-Mart and it didn't work so I'll have to carry the CF around if I want the bonus from shopping at Wal-Mart.

I would take 2x groceries/gas on the CSP as a permanent category, just because its enough that it incentivizes you to place those purchases on the card over having to load up the CFU with everything.
From my call with the CSR it sounds more probable they will have new announcements at the first of the year, my guess is more 5/10x categories on limited retailers like they've done with Lyft.
City lights18 instacart continues till the end of the year but what's the point if I already used the $1500 for 5 x
Interestingly, I just checked the CSR benefits page and noticed they've quietly extended the PYB program through the end of April 2021. It originally expired 9/30/2020, but they extended it through 12/31 a few days ago. I guess they've further extended it to 4/30/2021. So that's good news for anyone that's using that feature (I'm not).

Right. So the lesson is that just because something is on the internet, even on Reddit, doesn't ALWAYS mean it is true!
In this case any of:
a) story could be false
b) story true, but CSR confused about date
c) date WAS correct, but there was a change
d) change will be announced before 11:59pm today (for some time zone)

What current gas promotion? The 5x gas stations expired on 9/30 I believe. The only gas promotion remaining, that I know of, is that it can apply towards your $300 travel credit through 12/31. (Unforunately I already used up my entire travel credit 2 days after I got my CSR, paying for an airport parking garage lol)
I honestly don't think we'll hear anything. To me, the $80k CSP SUB kind of solidified that the Sapphire line won't get any further updates in 2020. I hope i'm wrong
Maybe next year...

Looking at your siggy, I see you're in the same position as me with a CSR/CFU, but no CFF yet. Kind of a bummer that we're both missing out on the 80k SUB and the 5% groceries right now
