Cabela's Denial

Well, I applied for a Cabela's Card (issued by World's Foremost Bank) and was denied. They pull EQ (at least for me) and reasons listed are Length of Time Accounts have been established, and Serious Delinquency etc. I only have three bad TL's on EQ, one is a paid CO and two collections. The most recent is from 2009 and the other two are from 2007. I have had no lates etc since then.  And I do agree with too many new accounts even though my AAoA is about 4.3 years. They listed my EQ score as 651, not sure which model they use but I just checked myfico and my score was 676. That's not too good I guess, but it's far better than where I started my rebuild at lol.

they were the go to card for a hot minute back around credit crises... I even got one while in my bk 13.... however we FLOODED them from myfico and they started to get scared and started to review lending standards and all accounts they had issued... I lost mine at about month 9 review Smiley Sad

they became not so bk friendly, very INQ sensitive and they ALWAYS pull EQ but I'm not sure the model... it's a super low one though! always!

How recent is the three baddies? Are the two collections paid or unpaid?

I asked because I recently got approved with a FICO Score of 655. I have 6 baddies + a public receord, all paid though.

Current Fico Scores: (November 2025)
