Hi
So I had a legitimate incorrect charge that was disputed and credited back to me on my AMEX charge card. I had never thought of this before, but does disputing charges reduce my "credit worthiness" in the eyes of AMEX or other CC companies ?
I have been a perfect on all my credit cards since re-building and now I am worried that disputes would adversely affect when applying for new cards or CLIs.
I apologize if this has been answered in the past, but I have been researching for a while on here and can't seem to get an answer.
Thanks in advance.

some applications can be denied if you have an item in dispute or if it's not in dispute anymore but still reporting as dispute can cause a denial as well. I have been denied in the past for it. I had no clue there was an item reporting as dipute and been that way for several years so I had to call the CRA's and tell them that the item was no longer in dispute. It stopped updating every month as well. It was an item from 2007 that was closed but had incorrect info on it.

You are right if it had been a dispute with the CB's. No one should ever app with a dispute pending on your reports
