Can you apply for a card if you were an authorized user?

I applied for a Savor card to get the $500 bonus. I added my wife as an authorized user to get us to the $3K minimum faster. I was thinking that I shouldn't have done that because she could also apply and we could get the $500 bonus again. Can I remove her as an authorized user and apply for a card with her information?

Yes.  I don't think you'd need to remove her as an authorized user if you don't want to either.

She'll be fine to apply for her own Savor card if she chooses to. Being an AU on yours will not matter to them except perhaps in terms of accounts opened recently.

Thanks for the replies. Should I wait a few months and then apply to avoid any issues with her being an AU so soon before applying for her own card?

I would check the prequals first to be sure but I think once the spend on your Savor card is met she's free to apply for her own card so you two can work on that one.
