I don't do the BT like some where you pay one with the other. I use BT checks, write myself the check, deposit the check then pay who I want.
To me i think it looks better.
It seems some lenders may get spooked if they see your transfering balances around and might cause an AA with some. So I like to keep it simple. A check to me. A personal check from me to to them that way they have no idea i did a BT.
I'm currently doing a BT with 2 discovers on a 14mo promo
I plan on paying off both cars and will have the money paid back before the 14mo.
one car note is 476 @ 6.99 the other is 383@ 3.99. just want to save on intrest.
So they sent me balance transfer checks, i wrote them out to myself, deposited them and then wrote checks to the companies from my checking account.
