Anyone know for sure if you can apply and be approved for a second Chase Amazon card? Need to separate expenses for different reasons.
Issues are:
I can't add SYNCB store card to a business Amazon account.
Amex card is now limited to $120k in purchases per year.
Anyone have more than 1 Chase Amazon? Thx!
Never heard of anyone with 2.

Kinda figured. Not as beneficial as having more than 1 Freedom due to the quaterly cap.
I suppose I'll have to call Chase and hope to get the right answer from a rep.

I'm not even sure Amazon would give 5% on second card. It's upgraded from 3% when you pay for Prime, not sure Amazon's system would recognize that.

Good point. Presumably OP could open another Amazon account and pay again for prime, but I don't remember how the linkage between chase card and the amazon account was made. Did I have to tell Chase my amazon user name, or was adding the Chase card to Amazon enough!
Maybe you can open a second Amazon account, pay for a seperate Prime membership on it, and open another Chase Amazon card for that account?
No idea if you can or not, but might be worth looking into.
Edit: @Anonymous beat me to it, lol.
I think the amazon account is linked to the card because you have to apply for the card on the Amazon website while logged in. I don't think you can even apply for the card outside of the Amazon website - I just went to Chase's website for the card, and it forwarded me to the Amazon website to apply for it.

Total SL: $78k

I remember when I got mine, card was automatically added to wallet. So it could be used immediately.
Similar to Apple, I would think tied to userID.
Affinity CU's rewards Visa gives 5% cb on Amazon purchases, but iirc it's capped at $3.5k/yr, so it probably wouldn't help you much.

Thanks all for the suggestions. If opening another Amazon account and paying for Prime again is doable, I'd definitely try it. I'm gonna have to do a little more research before running into trouble.
@Slabenstein that cap wouldn't work for what I need, but thanks for the info.
