Cap 1 7-10 day message....

So my roomate applied for the Discover IT card, and Cap 1 platinum no-fee (mailed pre-approval) tonight.

He was Approved for the Discover IT with a $1,500 CL

and got a 7-10 day message on Capital 1.

What phone # is best to call? Any other advise to give him?

No baddies on his file. AAoA=1.5 years Only has a Best Buy card, and 1 GE Furniture store card.

Only about 3 INQ on records.

Have your roomate wait for the letter to see what the reasons were listed for not being approved.  An item to keep in mind, Capital One has mixed results with reconsiderations and not much success from what other folks have reported.  If your roommate wants to appeal the decision, provided that his profile warrants reconsideration, then he would need to contact the Capital One EO.
