Lots of CLIs but so many to sort through, were any of the successful CLI's for accounts:
1. Enrolled in the "Credit Steps" program &
2. If yes, how long have you had the card? &
3. What CLI's were auto before the exec calls?
I have a Capital One that is just under two years old. I was in the credit steps and started at $1000 and went up to $1500 where it stayed despite several requests for a CLI. Two months ago, I sent an email to the executive office. Someone called me the next day, I asked for $5000 and two days later, I got it.
Was in credit steps, got 500 CLI 6 th month. Contacted xo after 1 year, got CLI from 1250 to 5000
Mine was a credit steps acct. BK back in March of 08. I've had a couple auto loans since then with perfect payment history. Appt for a Orchard bank card in Fed 2011. Starting limit $300. After 6 months called in for a CLI. Upped to $400. After another 6 months called in for another CLI. Upped to $500. On Feb 2012 appt for a CAP 1. Approved with a $500 limit credit step promgram. They said after 6 months of history my limit would be upped to $750. 6 months hit and bam $750 limit. Called the X line for CAP 1 on Thursday last week. Got a call Friday moring and by Monday my limit was increased to $1,500. Credit score in 08 after BK was in the high 500's. I've been perfect on everything since with a TU(689) EQ(693) EX(711) through my lender. Closing on my house tomorrow. 3.65% intrest 284K loan. That's my story.
Mine was on the credit steps also. Opened 7/1/2012 for $500 on the 21 of dec I got the step increase for 250 =750 total. 2 days ago I emailed and yesterday I got 2k total for 1500 in 2 weeks time from 2 different increases
You guys are awesome, and encouraging, was afraid these were only successful for non-Credit-Steps accounts!

I was enrolled in Credit Steps with a 3,000 CL in 6-2011, and got the auto step increase of 500 after 6 months. I waited six more months until summer 2012, and started asking for another credit limit increase.
Chat reps and phone reps all told me that my card maxed out at 3k; that was the highest a credit steps card would go. I asked for a PC to another card without a cap, and spent several months off and on trying to get that done. I talked to the social team, after posting on their Facebook wall. I called all of the backdoor numbers, and got nowhere.
In November 2012 I emailed a letter to the CEO asking for help with my PC and CLI, and was contacted by his office. They changed my card to a green cash, and raised the limit to 10,000, matching my highest limit card. The exec rep then told me that the card would automatically change to a World Mastercard because of the limit at the next auto review. They also gave my number to the exec office for the Orchard card, who removed my annual fee forever. The Capital one card was less than 18 months old, and it had been less than a year since my Credit Steps increase
I think most of us here got our Capital One cards when we were rebuilding, so we're credit steps customers. Those are the cards that seem to have hurdles to limit increases and need a PC in order to move up. I would encourage you to pursue a product change if your credit has improved significantly, especially if you have other high limit cards, and a year or more of good history with Capital One.
All this was done with a soft pull only, and the steps are detailed in a post I made earlier. You can get to it by clicking the green card in my signature. Good luck!
I got my Capital One Cash Rewards Mastercard in September 2012, when I started this credit journey I'm currently on. I received a $2,000 dollar credit limit and was enrolled in the credit steps program. I'm still in the program. After having my limit increased to $5,000 the other day, I was told that I will still receive my $500.00 increase per the steps program. That means here shortly my limit will be increased again to $5,500.
Mine was originally a credit steps increase.. From $300-$500 In 2006 haha That was the only auto cli EVER.
Any chance of Capital One PC from a secured to an unsecured card after a year? I got $500 of secured and $250 of unsecured on my Capital One Platinum.
I don't have any other credit cards right now; I am waiting for some of my CA GWs to go through.
