Cap1 Platinum to Quicksilver Success!

Hope I am posting in the proper location.  After reading through a few threads, I called Cap1 to ask for an upgrade from old Platinum to regular Quicksilver.  They did that and offered a reduction in the APR (although only for 7 months?)!!!!!   I hope this means am out of the subprime category with Cap1 now...

I have another Platinum with them that is also eligible to go QS but it has double the APR and they won’t get rid of the AF even with an upgrade. So the rep suggested trying to combine that with the new QS.  Will try that first although seeing on the forums that it may be hit or miss with a combo.

Would be nice to just have a high CL on one  Cap1 card as opposed to the two.

Congrats on PC upgrade! Upgrades with Cap One typically is not a HP. Neither are card merges either.

They're actually offering an upgrade to the QuicksilverOne rather than a Quicksilver. The difference between the two cards is the fee.

Generally, you'll be eligible for a combination if the cards are old enough and if the donor card has a balance of zero.
