Oh wow, sorry about the roller coaster answers from capital one, but I have to admit I was shocked at first for them to pc you to a venture card.even though you been with them 10 years, it's just not like them, to pc from platinum to venture. Yeah if they don't pc, get the venture card, bigger cl and maybe a lower apr. Plus reward bonus!!!

Exactly. I checked their pre-qual site and am pre-approved at 11.99APR for Venture One and 12.99APR for Venture Rewards or Quicksilver. Much better than my ridiculous Platinum APR!

Just a quick update for anyone who's in a similar situation. The EO was finally able to upgrade my account to a VentureOne Visa Signature with no AF. My online account has been updated, accordingly. Still waiting to hear back on whether she was able to give me the 12.24% APR that I was pre-qualified for. Fingers crossed!
