My Cap1 Platinum card graduated to unsecured recently and today I used the 'upgrade link' which offered a QS upgrade (with no CLI) which I grabbed. What do you think ... should I wait 6 months before I ask for a CLI or try now?
First off congrats on the graduation and upgrade! When did you last request a CLI on your card?
It's been reported that doing a product change (PC) means no CLI can be requested for 6 months.
Generally one should request a CLI before requesting a PC.
I know that applies to account combinations but didn't realize that went for PCs as well.
Argh, ignore me then -- I may be wrong and will have to update my notes!
I would try for it now. I believe I received a CLI a month after the PC (Platinum to QS). After the CLI, its 6 months before any consideration for another one.

When the Platinum secured graduated to unsecured last month I requested a CLI and was denied (due to a "recent action" (which I assume referred to the card graduating). Today it upgraded to QS. So the card has never had a CLI in the year I've had it.
I went ahead and requested a CLI ... no banana.
"There has recently been a change to the credit line on this account"
So now we know ...
