Capital One QS1 - Credit Lines Question

I have a QS1 with the following history:

10/14/14: $300 Open

02/14/14: $100 CLI Button ($400 Total Line)

04/14/14: $350 Credit Steps ($750 Total Line)

04/14/14: $750 CLI via EO same day ($1500 Total Line)

Once the line hit $1500, I have been using that card like a mad man... running $17,000 through the card and constantly paying PIF 2-3 times monthly.

My question... is it possible to get the QS1 north of $5000 after only a year of usage?

Will I be rewarded for putting $17k through the card.. or likely receive a token increase of $1000 at 1 year mark? I'm 30 days away and really hoping for a good increase.

Wasn't sure if non signature versions of the card typically stay well below the $5000 mark? Anyone have success growing a QS1 past $4-5k in one year?

NOTE: I have a Secured card with them too, about to hit 2 years old... $2250 limit ($1901 of which is my deposits)... hoping to not need it in the future.

Re: Capital One QS1 - Credit Lines Question

you should absolutely be able to get good increases in just a year. if you keep getting pety ones like $500 then app for a QS soon, then get it switched over to your old one combine limits and there ya go

Quicksilver One isn't exactly a card that commands a larger limit. I suggest you reapply for one of their "prime" products if your reports have improved.

You and me are in the same boat. Here's how my QS1's have grown:

Card One

Open 5/2014 as Platinum card - $300

Request CLI every month - nope.

Credit Steps kick in - CLI to $500. (10/2014)

Run $1,700 through the card each month.

Try for CLI after each statement cuts - nothing.

EO email in April 2015 requested $2k limit. CLI to $750.

Currently running $200-$300 through the card each month

Card Two

Open 8/2014 as QS1 - $300

Request CLI every month - nope.

Credit Steps kick in - CLI to $500 (12/2014)

Run $600 through the card each month.

Try for CLI after each statement cuts - nothing.

EO email in April 2015 requested $2k limit. CLI to $2k.

Currently running $500-$900 through the card each month.

I am set to get my 6 month CLI's on October 9th. In the last 6 months, I have ran $1245.42 through card one, and $4,647.59 through card two. I plan on consolidating card one into card two after the CLI's, and I fully expect to have a $5k limit when I do.

Yeah... I agree completely... I was giving the debbie downer face because my question had been to those with QS1 cards and experience with CLI on that card specifically...... I wanted to know whether people are getting their cards to 5k+ or not.... I completely understand that apping for the Venture or QS Signature is the route to go when the scores get there... my plan is to combine cards down the road... but am hoping CapOne will reward me for 17k in charges through it.

Re: Capital One QS1 - Credit Lines Question

his point is that the QS1 won't get as high as the QS. he wasn't trying to be negative.
