I recently applied for a Cap 1 cc and was declined due to recent inquiries and insufficient credit history. I tried calling an account specialist from the list of backdoor numbers and the rep i spoke to didnt seem like he could help me. I wanted to know if there was an app recon # or which # in the backdoor numbers would be best to get an approval. Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing. I was declined due to a recent number of apps, length of credit history, age of newest bankcard accounts, and too few revolving accounts :-(. I was thinking that I'd call and explain to them that I am rebuilding my credit and app'ing was a part of that process. Any suggestions or advice?

You can contact the Capital One EO to see if they can assist.  IIRC, reconsiderations are all over the map with them and the success rate is not very high.  You can always try your luck.
