Capital One student Journey CC

I just wanted to know if anyone has this card? I have had it for about 5 months and after the 7th statement I'll get a cli through the steps program. I need to know if anyone has this card and if so, how many cli's have you gotten after the credti steps program? I wanted to get a feel to see how high this card can and will get?

Re: Capital One student Journey CC

My daughter has had the card for 7 months. Started with $500 CL. Got $250 CLI at 5 months also.

CITI Forward Student started her higher at $800CL.

Re: Capital One student Journey CC

Thanks guys! it sounds like this card is no good. I will keep it until my scores get high enough for a prime card.

Re: Capital One student Journey CC

From what I hear, Cap1 is not great on CL. However, CITI is. Cap1 is a great starter card though to get a card and build from there.

My daughter, after having Cap1 for 6 months now has a Citi Forward student card, and an AMEX Zync. The Zync is a charge card so there is no credit limit. You have to pay in full every month. This is a great card if you want to try to build a relationship with AMEX.

It is difficult to get a prime card as a college student. I will say though that the interest rate on her CITI card is low, around 13%. Not too shabby.
