Capital one CLI?

Did anyone recently get a CLI from capital one either automatically or requesting one?

I had two till I combined them. I'm wondering if the only way to raise the limit with them for me is to apply for a new card, then combine it with the old one. They never gave me CLI

Re: Capital one CLI?

I believe there have been multiple reports from members who have received recent auto-CLI's from Cap1.

That's a bad idea unless you are ready to take a triple hit with CBs

Exactly why I haven't done it yet. I got the second one like 4 years ago cause I was suckered into a $5000 BT with super low interest rate for the life of the loan. The first one has an AF of $25 but I put up with it cause it's my oldest card. Right now I have the first one at just under 90% with a kick butt APR for the life of the loan. Might be another 6 months to a year before I decide to pay it off in full. At that point, I'll work on the AF, the CL, and the type of card it is. In the mean time, all my other cards (cept for the Chase one) are growing credit lines at a pretty amazing rate.I'm reallypaying close attention to what anyone says about CapOne cause I know I'm gonna need all the info I can get on them at some point down the road.

Re: Capital one CLI?

I have sockdrawed my $750 Cap1 card. Tried twice to get a CLI, both unsuccesfull, the good thing about Cap1 is that CLI request is soft and not hard.

I have linked the card to iTunes and charged it once a while by purchacing apps for my iPhone.

Same here.  I am still sitting at $750.  I haven't closed it since I got the card 10/2001. Maybe Cap 1 waiting on 10/2009 to give me an 8 year annivesary CLI.  They forgot about the pass anniversaries.

Many Cap1 cards do not grow.

Re: Capital one CLI?

I've got two Cap One's. One sitting at 750 for two years, and the other at 500. I don't ever expect them to go anywhere but if they did I wouldn't complain.
