So I need some dental work done that is costing me 12.3k. I applied for Care Credit in office and got approved only 8k. Called for a CLI and only upped it to 9600. I really don't want to max out my care card because of UTL :/ . They offered me a 14.90 APR for 48 months but hopefully planning to pay it off sooner or balance transfer.
-What type of Credit is Care Credit? Revolver or a Loan?
-Will this hurt my overall UTL maxing it out? (I'm currently at 1% UTL overall)
I'm planning on apping for a place in 2 months so really don't want any big hits to my score since I worked hard on getting it to where it is now..
Any advice would be great
Care Credit is revolving and maxing it out will cause some Fico points lost.
Do you have any other credit cards that offer 12/14 month 0% interest. If you do and it has a higher CL, I would go that route. Either way you are probably going to take a ding on FICO points due to the utilization percentage.
